Youth Ministry
at St. Luke’s
Lutheran Church
GATHER, GO, GIVE, GROW
GATHER
We gather for worship, Bible study, and fellowship to build strong relationships and bind ourselves in faith to Christ and each other
GO
When we leave St. Luke’s and go out into our neighborhoods, we take the love of Jesus with us to live our vocation in the four estates of family, work, church, and neighborhood.
GIVE
God is the owner of all things and gives us everything we need to live productive lives. He even gives us His Son to save us from death. In response we seek to be as generous as we can toward others.
GROW
As disciples and followers of Jesus we daily nurture a living faith and grow into the people God created us to be.
More About Our Youth Ministry
Church doesn’t have to be boring for teenagers
Beginning at end of the fifth grade we offer an early communion class for students who agree to complete a two-year confirmation program. Every other week for two years on Sunday Moring your student will explore the bible through the lens of the Small Catechism. But faith formation is more than bible study. Our youth meet every Sunday evening at the church for a variety of activities, games, and projects. They also plan an annual mission or service trip someplace in the United States. You are welcome to participate in any or all of our Youth activities.
We use a variety of liturgical Lutheran Services and Hymnody. If you have the gift of song our choir invites you to join us. Please contact the office to send a message to the Choir Director. Covid related protocols are optional while on campus. We respect your privilege to choose the safety protocol that is best for you and your family.”
